Mardi Gras Beads

Our early intervention specialist for Wyatt introduced him to Mardi Gras beads when she first started to work with him in October. Since then, he has become mesmerized by them. He will hold them and study each bead individually. In the video below, he has learned a new trick. He will hold them out tight, collapse them, and then stretch them out tight again. He loves to watch the way they shake when he does it. His love for beads might have been the main reason that when we recently reevaluated motor skills level he tested out at a 9 month level for fine motor skills, only one month behind his real age.
